Here’s the thing: most of our units are 300mm UV halogen lamps, and they’re built to squeeze into those cramped spots on a press where space is at a premium. We run them on 400V because it pushes plenty of current through the quartz tube without needing oversized wiring. That gives you a lot of radiant power packed into a short length. And the 2500W rating? Not random. It’s the sweet spot—enough power density to hit the UV intensity modern fast-curing inks and coatings demand on today’s label materials. But there’s a trade-off you can feel in your gut: 2500W at 400V throws off serious heat. That means your machine has to be built to breathe—adequate airflow and solid heat rejection. If the cooling is too small, the lamp runs hot. Then the end caps wear out faster, and the output starts to drift.
What’s inside, and why it matters on the shop floor
Inside the quartz envelope, the halogen cycle keeps the filament stable even at scorching temperatures. That stability is what helps the UV output stay consistent over the life of the tube. We also choose an internal coating that shapes the spectrum the right way—boosting the UV band while keeping the unwanted infrared in check.
